Day 4: SLOW MOTION

Did anyone else feel like today went in slow motion?!?!
Sab- you sly chick- you got me... I kind of liked it.

Like a lot of you seniors, I am in (what I thought prior to all of this) the busiest time  of my Spring season.  I 'm trying to close all my testing before the end of the school year.  Our family is finishing our first semester leading YL at NRHS.  On top of that, we are remodeling our basement and taking care of some home projects.  I have June and the beginning of July to pack up my classroom to move one hallway down so I can teach Kindergarten next year (YAY!) -ALL pregnant and due with Wyatt July 25th.

Yikes.  All of that has been sitting heavy on me for weeks now and despite my efforts of "to do" listing and scheduling-  the stuff doesn't seem to be getting done fast enough.

Well, HAULT.  Life.  My "to dos" are not what's important to me right now and it feels so GOOD.  So, Kaitlyn and Sabrina, thanks for giving me a little taste of freedom when I needed it the most!

Friends, don't be afraid of what comes slowly.  Man, sometimes, when things slow down-  you experience the most out life and you ACTUALLY take care of yourself better and love others better as well.
I took my time today to shower, dress up , and even wear heels and jewelry (since you two girls always seem to look fly).  I packed my lunch and talked to a neighbor- all making myself five minutes late to leave.
I DIDN'T CARE.  It Felt Good.

I carried on with my day pretty much the same-  taking my time to get things done.  Yes, I still got things because my slow pace is not to be mistaken with NO pace-  that's not my style! haha

In doing so, the Lord brought a couple other random examples of joy is slowness during my commute  home today.  I choose to share them with you-  hope it makes you smile. Enjoy!

First, Reagan and Reggie (I know they are so big now- but here are your babies!)  She just learned how to drive her power wheels.  Do you know how slow her car runs, but how happy she is to drive in it with her little brother!

Second, two songs came on the radio...

Love on the Brain by Rihanna

Click the videos if you want (but ya'll are young- so I know you know the songs)
Do you hear that bass??????
SLOW.... but its the most enjoyable part!  I'm bobbing and nodding my head to the bass.
I'm shrugging my shoulder to the SLOW beat and its the reason why I enjoy the song!
Honestly, the bass kills it for me- that I really don't pay attention to what they are talking about!

Lastly, I have to bring up SLOW DANCES.
When you are older and past high school and sorority formals/dances, you will miss the opportunity of a good SLOW dance- especially with the man you love.
I mean even in middle school when all of our dancing skills were nonexistent and boys and girls stood on opposite sides of the room-  a slow song brought people together.
Here's a random slow dance pic from Ben and I's wedding.

Slow is not a bad thing friends.  Kaitlyn and Sabrina, I would never wish the accident on you,  but, through mourning, you inspire me to slowly better my life.  Thank you ladies.
With Love.  Always,
Crystal
